One of my favorite shows, but unfortunately, one of my least favorite sets... It ended up being too large and cumbersome for our stage. It consisted of an outdoor scene with three large buildings; Higgins' Study interior made of two very large wagons and an upper level. Half of the interior also reversed to be the home's exterior. There was also an exterior garden - one of the best scenes of the show; and an interior ballroom with an ill-fated attempt at draperies. One of the best features of this set was the spiral staircase, built from plywood, metal and PVC pipe by the crew based on a design from the Technical Design Solutions for Theatre book. There was also a pull-out staircase underneath the platforms upstage. Page 1 | Page 2
