The large part of this set was the Bennet's Living Room, which featured two fireplaces, a large center arch and french doors leading to the garden. Additionally, the left and right walls (dubbed Axis and Allies by the crew) moved to allow for scene changes. The stage right wall (Axis) would spin around and was painted on the reverse. When joined with a wagon, the two would create the scene for the Gardner Home. On stage left, the fireplace wall would pivot, also joining with another wagon to set the scene for Rosings, complete with (painted) marble fireplace. Designers Emily Dusedau and Jennifer Hellman (both THS '08) researched color schemes and architectural elements of the time period to create a more authentic looking set. Their furniture selections from Eclectic Encore also added to the authenticity of the design. Lighting by Max Todd (THS '08) was both practical and dramatic. Electric sconces and LED candles helped to create the mood in different scenes. Page 1 | Page 2
